The budget session was scheduled to end on 03-04-2020 but the house curtailed its sitting in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak and ended the session on 23-03-2020 by passing the Finance Bill, 2020. The Bill which was presented originally in the Lok Sabha on 01-02-2020has not passed in its original shape. More than 50 changes have been proposed in the Finance Bill, 2020 which was originally presented in the Lok Sabha. New amendments are proposed, scope of some provisions have been expanded, some proposed amendments are removed, so on and so forth. A snippets of all changes made in the Finance Bill, 2020(as passed by the Lok Sabha) viz-a-viz the Finance Bill, 2020 as presented in the Lok Sabha are presented hereunder.
